The Dream Thread
Okay. I've seen this thread in many different forums that I frequent, so I started to start one here. If you have an interesting dream, then post it here. Mayhap you had a dream in the past and wish to share it with others? Well, this is the place to do it! We'll talk about all aspects of dreams and maybe have some fun interpreting each others dreams.
Allow me to start this thread off by asking a question. Has anyone ever tasted something in their dreams? For example: you're eating something and you actually taste what you're eating.

Re: The Dream Thread
My dreams are all to real.
I have literally seen bits of future in them (now past, the ones I now know to have been future at the time of the dream)
not to mention I feel, smell... "bad" dreams are often short since I jump out of them so fast I once clunked my head onto my shelf.
I remember one dream, that was just a dream, but I was having griffin riding lessons with a few people that I don't know. it was on a skyscraper high plateau of lush green grass ending in shear flat cliffs. best thing was actually feeling the air rush past and the smell of the grass.

Re: The Dream Thread
Did you know that you actually do know those people in your dream?? You may not know them personally, but you have seen them before--like someone walking down the street or doing some shopping in the grocery store.
A recent vivid dream that I had recently was one in which I was standing in the hallway of a hospital and everything was tinted blue which made things really eerie. All of a sudden, someone who I didn't get a chance to see, stabbed me through the heart with a sharp, wooden chopstick. I fell back on the floor and a nurse came to my aid. She elevated my upper body slightly and told me to be calm. I remember looking down and seeing the chopstick protruding from my body. There was blood everywhere--my blood. I then realized why she had told me to calm down. She began to slowly pull out the chopstick. As she removed it, I could feel it sliding out of my heart, and when it was gone, I could feel the hole in my heart with every breath. That dream was just too weird for me and I woke up. >>

Re: The Dream Thread
Wow. O.o Those are quite a few wicked smilies, but they certainly capture the morbidity of my dream. That's probably the most morbid of all my dreams.
But the reason I mentioned the taste thing earlier was that I had a dream that I was in a grocery store and I grabbed a bag of pretzel sticks from the shelf, opened them, and started eating them (stealing much?). Well, they had no taste, so I crammed a ton of them in my mouth and it managed to form the taste of pretzels in my mouth, but it was very faint...

I tried
Re: The Dream Thread
And you succeeded. ^^ Once we get an accumulation of crazy people on this site, I'm sure this thread will be booming. XD It always does on other sites. I mean, some people dream every night. I don't dream that often though...>>

Re: The Dream Thread
that's unfortunate for you. I dream every night, assuming I sleep.
IF we get a bunch of crazy people

Re: The Dream Thread
I'm fairly certain that we will. I just changed my signature on the site I frequent with the craziest people. ^^

Re: The Dream Thread
Masquerade, I actually dreamed something like that too. I have pretty strange and scary dreams. Here's my dream experience:
I was on a pretty narrow hallway. I couldn't see the end, and it kept getting darker and darker to a point where nothing could be seen at the end. Illumination was coming from my behind, but I couldn't distinguish if it was either fire or light. I suddenly started walking towards the end and I instantly knew something was there. I felt an urge to reach whatever contained the mysterious hallway as I began to speed up my steps, I felt something wrong, I had this uneasy feeling. My urge increased as I was taking long, quick steps and I could see the passage getting darker and darker.
I stopped dead in my tracks, and felt scared. A sudden burst of fear flushed through my body as I took an involuntary step back. I kept looking at the complete darkness, my heart was racing.
I took another step backwards, still looking at the end... All of sudden, I heard an inhuman scream at the end. Almost instantly, 5 or more bone arm limbs were launched towards me from the endless darkness in front of me. I was paralyzed in horror as I watched the white bone, blood and little bit of flesh in the arms. They penetrated through my chest and stopped. They were far too long to be actually human's: I watched as they went on and on and dissolve in the darkness.
I felt myself dying, I watched the blood blowing from my body... when I woke up.
Pretty traumatic.

Re: The Dream Thread
Nice smily summary, Crimson, as always. ^^ All I can say is I never want to have a dream like yours. I prefer light-hearted dreams with happiness and the such, but since my subconscious is depressed and full of despair, I have nothing but creepy or screwed up dreams. >>

Re: The Dream Thread
for the record, I never have Horror dreams ^_^ worst I had was a dark dream in which I died , the computer I'm using right now is to suckish to write about the long odd dream, so I may write it later.
Re: The Dream Thread
I have a lot of lucid dreams. I can actually control myself in my dream, instead of watching it all unfold.
I recently had a dream where a dog was chasing me. Once I realised it was a dream, I picked up a car and smashed the dog with it It took m like 3 months to get lucid dreams, but it was worth it.

Re: The Dream Thread
Nope, I've managed to learn it. Before that time, I had a lot of scary and disturbing dreams.
I remember the time when I was 4 years old and I saw the full video of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'. I believe I had nightmares for 2 weeks. It was not funny at all XD

Re: The Dream Thread
Im sure there is, you will just have to wait until I ca get onto my main computer that can load a page fast, this one takes at least a minute+ to load.
Re: The Dream Thread
Please, Crimson. Don't try to traumatize this kid again. If there does happen to be a Thriller smily, just keep that one to yourself. ^^'
