Re: .Languages.
I learnt English by this single, main factor: My videogames.
When I was like 5 or 4 I couldn't understand what important sentences and instructions really meant... It made me go and ask my parents for the meaning of some words I didn't knew. When I had enough info about basic things from English I somewhat understood the idea of sentences.
Later I went to school (English classes)where I fully learned it.

Re: .Languages.
You're pretty good at it, too, if I do say so myself. ^^ I can barely tell that it's not your native language. Then again, I haven't seen a good compilation of sentences from you. Hmm....
Anyways, I think the French are obsessed with rabbits. You know how in English we have our silly expressions? Well, in French, I've come across two of which involve rabbits:
Coup du lapin: Literally, this means "Blow of the Rabbit" but it actually means "whiplash".
Poser un lapin a quelqu'un: Literally, this means "to put a rabbit on somebody" but it actually means "to stand somebody up".
Isn't that funny?? =3

Re: .Languages.
Well, Crimson, you're forgetting to change the verbs in number. The structure is also a bit wrong. Spanish usually follows a single structure in a sentence. Some words like "What" in English don't necessarily translate like "Que" in Spanish. Your sentence would be like:
Asi es como me enteré del Japonés.
Asi es como me enteré del Japonés.

Re: .Languages.
Il me semble plutôt étrange si vous me demandez. Je n'ont jamais été à l'Europe, alors je ne saurais pas, mais j'ai une tante qui y vit. elle dit que le gens agissent différemment alors en Amérique. Donc je ne doute pas ce que vous dites.
Gracias por la crítica, puedo tratar de hacerlo mejor.

Re: .Languages.
That's it. Whenever I happen to find the time, I think I'll try learning another language. I think knowing more than one or even two languages really sets you apart and I want to be multilingual. So I shall! First, I must become fluent in French....>>

I'm learning Spanish
Yo aprendiendo Español en mi escuela. No soy perfecto, pero comprendo un pequeño.
Also, I know a few words/phrases of many languages. Most of what I know of German is because of the song 99 Luftballons. I know a bit of Japanese, from taking karate. I know one phrase in Swedish. I know a tiny bit of Latin and some random words in French. I used to take ASL(American Sign Language), but I forgot most of it...I believe that's it...

Re: .Languages.
When it comes to languages, I knew Filipino, since it's my native language.

Re: .Languages.
It's not too difficult, but it has similar sentence structures to English. Here's a sample translation:*Masquerade* wrote:Oh really now?? I heard Filipino is a really difficult language to learn. Are these rumors precedented?
^Color-coded to avoid confusion.
English Sentence: The cat was chased by the dog.
Filipino Sentence: Ang pusa ay hinabol ng aso.
